Pupils of the Zaman Youth Center took part in the XVII All-Russian Combat Sambo tournament among young men, dedicated to the memory of Russian soldiers who died in the Chechen conflict. The competition was held on March 26-27 in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Naberezhnye Chelny was represented by two athletes at the tournament. Robert Mukhamadiev won in the +59kg weight category. Daniil Shirkovsky took the first place in the 79 kg weight category. In addition, he was awarded a cash prize "For the best combat technique."
The guys train under the guidance of a trainer-teacher Vladimir Timofeev.
217 SAMBO wrestlers from Moscow, Moscow, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, Kirov, Vladimir, Yaroslavl regions, the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Tatarstan and others participated in the competition.
