On the eve of the Day of Russian Students, the final of the annual Student of the Year competition took place in Naberezhnye Chelny. The award ceremony took place at the renovated Nur Youth Center. The awards were presented to the winners by Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation, Irina Sagidullina, Deputy Head of the Naberezhnye Chelny municipality, Abdulkhak Batyushov, deputy of the City Council, General Director of the STV-Media holding, Denis Idrisov, Chairman of the City Student Council.
According to the results of the qualifying rounds, out of the 79 best students of higher and professional educational institutions, the leaders in 16 nominations reached the final.

It should be noted that for the fourth year in a row, the winner in the main nomination of the competition – "Grand Prix Student of the Year 2020" receives a nominal scholarship of Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy of the State Duma of Russia, in the amount of 33 thousand rubles.
